A project created in collaboration with the Gorky Film Studio. The film tells the story of ancient Russian manor estates and the people who breathe new life into them — buying them in dilapidated condition or inheriting ruins, then pouring their hearts into restoration. The film follows three different stories, all united by a love for place and a desire to preserve cultural heritage. Some clear away debris, others raise funds for restoration, and others transform estates into contemporary spaces without losing connection to the past. The director and cinematographer was Sergey Kostromin. The film has been featured and awarded at several festivals, including those focused on architecture and heritage. This project isn't about grand facades — it's about the behind-the-scenes reality: the pain, joy, sleepless nights, and small victories.
